I like to collage and rearrange words in my free time. Some of these have been featured in the following zines:
Make America Zine Again, parts I & II
Oui Mon Bebe (Break My Heart)
Smell is the strongest memory. A single waft can bring back a flood of emotions. Retrospect is a fictional company I branded that brings these childhood smells back to life. Customers can create customizable gift boxes each coming with soaps, candles, bath salts, a handwritten card and polaroid, and the brand manifesto.
Up North Copy:
Deep in the woods it smelled like a hazy campfire, wide open sky, and wishful thinking on distant stars.
Fallen Snow Copy:
In the backyard we built a snowman. It smelled like a blanket of quiet and the promise of hot chocolate
Down in the basement it smelled like hide and seek, prickly dryer sheets, and the impending attack of the boogie man.
On the first day of summer it smelled like hot rain on pavement, sticky lemonade, and endless cotton clouds.
Out behind the cineplex where he held your hand it smelled like popcorn and forbidden love
Some noodling around with animation and writing =)
These Crafted Words
A little writing about my love of writing :)
Chains was a collaborative installation with gals from very different majors: graphic design, advertising, fashion marketing, fibers, and painting. Together we crocheted a series of ropes, devised a pulley system, and put on this show for several weeks in Spring 2017.
For International Women's Day I created a booklet to recognize and show appreciation for women in the arts. I conducted interviews and secondary research of women in the physical and virtual (internet) realms of the art world. My main finding was that with the current political climate, it's more important than ever to use our art as a voice and a force whether it be a painting, a video, or even a meme.
